Etsimme taiteilijoita Bokvillanin ja Kääntöpaikan gallerioihin vuodelle 2020. Tila on maksuton.
Kääntöpaikalla on vapaata näyttelytilaa alkaen jo joulukuussa 2019 ja Bokvillanin tiloissa maaliskuussa 2020. Voit esittää toivomuksen haluamastasi tilasta. Varaamme oikeuden päättää näyttelytilasta sekä teosten soveltuvuudesta tiloihin. Näyttelyn kesto on aina yksi kuukausi.
Galleria Bokvillan sekä Kääntöpaikka ovat kaikille avoimia tiloja. Bokvillan on suojeltu rakennus jonka vuoksi töiden ripustamisessa on tiettyjä rajoituksia.
Bokvillanin tiloissa on lisäksi myös yksityisiä viikonloppujuhlia, joiden varaajilla on oikeus siirtää teoksia väliaikaisesti sivuun. Toivomme kaikilta osapuolilta tässä joustavuutta.
Näyttelytilan hakijalta toivomme seuraavia tietoja:
– Lyhyt taiteilijakuvaus
– Selitys näyttelystä ja kuinka haluaisit tuoda työsi esille.
– Mahdollinen toive näyttelytilasta: Bokvillan vai Kääntöpaikka
– Kuukausitoive jolloin haluaisit pitää näyttelysi.
– Kolme kuvaa töistäsi, jos mahdollista
Ennen hakemuksen lähettämistä suosittelemme vierailua näyttelytiloissa. Parhaiten tämä onnistuu avoimien ovien päivinä, Bokvillanissa maanantaisin 10-18 ja Kääntöpaikalla torstaisin 10-18.

Gallery spaces in Arabia, Helsinki open to artists!
We are looking for artists to exhibit their work at Gallery Bokvillan and Gallery Kääntöpaikka for 2020. The space offered is free of charge. Gallery Kääntöpaikka is available already from December 2019 and Gallery Bokvillan is available starting in March 2020. You can make a request for the space you want. We reserve the right to decide on the exhibition space. The duration of the exhibition is always one month.
Gallery Bokvillan and Gallery Kääntöpaikka are public spaces. There are hanging restrictions as to preserve the walls of Bokvillan’s wooden house. Consideration to artistic content will be given when curating the exhibitions for the following year. Also, due to the nature of the space, artists should be aware that if there is a private party, the customer has the right to move the artwork for the event. We hope that the space is flexible and can accommodate everybody’s wishes.
When applying for the exhibition space please include:
Short artist bio
Explain what the exhibition is about and how you plan to show your work
Which space you would like to exhibit your work- Bokvillan or Kääntöpaikka
Months you prefer (only one will be granted)
3 images of your work, if possible
We suggest you come visit the space before applying. Please visit on open hours: Gallery Kääntöpaikka is open on Thursdays from 10-18 and Gallery Bokvillan is open on Mondays from 10-18.
